Dumb Q: Where on the ES4 Wiki are draft spec pages???

# ToolmakerSteve98 (18 years ago)

I go to www.ecmascript.org. I click on specs link, takes me to docs.php. I click on ECMAScript Edition 4 Wiki.

WTF? I have no idea what i am now looking at. I click on various links. None show me anything interesting -or- are not accessible without logging in.

I want to see whatever there is so far of a spec -- what do I do???

I believe the public feature specs drafts are here: uri:http://wiki.ecmascript.org/doku.php?id=features_specs:feature_specs

Lars has posted some more for review here on es4-discuss though.

The library drafts that are "very clean" or accepted are on the wiki, as David points out.

More will appear there; I've been pressed for time. The library sections that have been discussed on this mailing list that I now consider clean enough to go up on the wiki are Function, Map, Name, and Namespace. Object is probably quite close; we're still discussing createProperty and whether/how that should affect getter/setter pairs.

Other parts of the spec are in development. They will be posted to this list and discussed here before they go up on the wiki.

Thanks for the replies. I get it: not much there yet, because you are working on a clean pass over everything.

Fortunately, I found someone with a cached version of the Nov. 2006 draft.

I realize lots may have changed since then, but for my purposes it was what I needed right now: something that gave me a complete and DETAILED view, however out of date, so I could get a sense of the scope of ES4 and what the thinking behind it is. A good complement to the overview and whitepaper documents.
